Welcome

Mokete’s Village is a small Gypsy Vanner horse farm in Virginia, focused on breeding and showing performance horses. Our ultimate purpose is developing meaningful relationships with our horses and promoting this wonderful breed.

The willingness and versatility of the Gypsy Vanner lends itself to a wide variety of interests. Our intent is that of a performance horse, with emphasis on dressage. This discipline is one of many that furthers our goal of partnership.

We believe that performance is more than being a pretty face and the mind is a terrible thing to waste! Excellence comes from the synergistic interplay between correct training, dedication, humility, and genetics. Mother Nature doesn’t always deliver what we order; however, all creatures deserve a purpose and the very best of care.

Our Gypsy Vanner journey has given us much in the way of blessings despite life changing losses. Mokete's Village is indeed a “village” where lasting relationships are valued, performance is a passion and horses bring hope.

Seabra Sold

Our super horse, Seabra, is starting her new career as a Super Model with Decadent Colored Sport Horses, owned and operated by Cynthia Saldana. It was terribly hard to see her leave, but we know how much she is already loved and are excited to see her continue to make her mark in the Gypsy Vanner world.

Dressage at Lexington

Show News

The weekend of July 11th, at the Dressage at Lexington show, Violet and Jazzmine, with Kate Knick aboard, earned both of their qualifying scores for Region 1 USDF Regional Championships. It was exciting to see them both move to the next level and qualify on their very first attempt- Violet (3rd Level, T3) and Jazzmine (1st Level, T3). In addition to that Violet placed 1st in 2nd Level T3, with a 70.%. Thank you Kate for doing such a great job with them!!! And thanks to all the “Villagers” this weekend for your help and all the laughs! We appreciate your support! Looking forward to the next show with you guys!
